This May, we’ll be heading to Uganda to join what God is doing among leaders, families, and ministries across East Africa. Over these two weeks, we’ll spend time encouraging, serving, and building relationships alongside a trusted team already at work on the ground. We’re going expectant—believing God will open doors, deepen partnerships, and use every conversation, gathering, and act of faith for lasting Kingdom impact.
Why We're Going
From May 15 to June 1, 2026, my daughter Abbie and I will travel with Ben Pontius and a small team of elementum-connected leaders to serve alongside UDM (University Discipleship Movement). Together, we’ll invest in leaders from Uganda, Kenya, and Congo through training, encouragement, and strategic ministry support.
Our focus will include helping equip UDM leaders in campus evangelism and discipleship, as well as providing training and encouragement for key country leaders. This trip builds on work we’ve been engaged in over the last three years — coming alongside ministry leaders to strengthen them for the work God has called them to do.
For Abbie, this is also a unique opportunity. As she pursues her master’s in leadership, she’ll have the chance to contribute in meaningful ways and gain firsthand experience in the kind of leadership development work we’ve been investing in for years. I’m deeply grateful she gets to be part of this.
More than anything, this trip is about joining what God is already doing — showing up, serving faithfully, and trusting Him to use every conversation, every training, and every relationship for His Kingdom purposes.
God is moving in Uganda, and we’re honored to go.
