In 2010 God gave us a dream to help churches and leaders reach and disciple young adults in central Minnesota. Through much prayer and counsel, we launched an organization called Verge Ministries in Brainerd, MN on June 1st, 2010.
About Us
Our Story
What we thought would be a ministry working with churches in our area soon grew into working with churches all over the United States as people reached out to us and expressed their struggle to engage young adults with the Gospel. Our original vision had been far too small for God’s grand dream.
On January 1st of 2018, Verge took on the new name elementum in order to communicate our commitment to a God-sized vision. We are asking God to use elementum and all who are a part of it to create a movement to restore and launch young adults into their Kingdom purpose all over the world.
Our team believes the best days are yet to come as we see more churches, leaders, and parents join this movement. We are one small part in what God is doing, but we are asking God to allow us to have fingerprints in cities, churches, and leaders all around the globe. We can’t wait to see what is ahead!
what we believe
Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
Trinity
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present role as Head of the Church, and His personal return in power and glory.
Regeneration
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Unity
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.
